Weather and Climate

The climate of Boracay is alternately dominated by the Northeast and Southwest monsoon.

The Northeast monsoon ( Amihan ), begins in November/December and lastes through till February/March. It brings cooler,clearer weather, light breezes and calm seas off White Beach. Temperatures during these months ranges between 25 and 32 degrees celsius, the occasional rainshowers can make the nighttime temperatures drop to around 22 degress celsius.

From March through untill June, its summertime, with sunny and progressively hotter days and nights, diminishing monsoon winds and occasional offshore thunderstorms. Temperatures during this period range between 28 and 38 degrees celsius.

From July to October/November , the Southwest monsoon ( Habagat ) blows. This is the wettest season of the year,with occasional strong winds on White Beach. The rain seldom lasts long as rainy mornings or afternoons often alternate with sunny periods. Its often very humid during this period.
